West Pier Brighton Photo
Final one in the series from Dan Goodwin is of the West Pier, much featured on this site although this is a completely different perspective and composition from Dan. Another HDR shot this almost has a ghost like quality about it with the sea being so still and the Pier seeming to glow with the HDR effect from Dan.
Thanks for the shots Dan.

HDR Shot in Brighton
Yet another HDR shot from our good friend Dan Goodwin a quite a stunner I'm sure you'll agree (I'm hoping Dan will teach me how to do this kind of stuff!)
Again down on the seafront this is a beautifully composed shot with the HDR adding impact to the sky. Nice one Dan.

Photo Series - Dan Goodwin
I've been sent some pretty AMAZING shots through from Dan Goodwin from Spannerworks using High Dynamic photo processing - I'll be running a mini series from today using some of his shots. This first one is of a boat on our seafront (nr the fishing museum I think). I trust you'll agree this is a special one.
I've also been sent through a photo from Hannah Cole which I'll be running early next week.
Thanks all for your contributions.

Shoreham Airshow
I reported last week about the sad death of a pilot at the Shoreham Airshow, he was later named as Brian Brown who was flying on a voluntary basis, later reports in the week recorded that Brian was a hero as he steered his craft from the crowds at the airshow.

Guitar blues....
Just really really like this one - sorry it's not got much to do with Brighton - although it was taken in Brighton :)

Miserable morning...
This is the view that greeted me this morning as I commuted to work on the motorbike this morning. Raining, wet and cold with a violent sea - is autumn here then?

Spannerfest
An extraordinary company does extraordinary things! Spannerworks (where I work) is holding a rave/festival/party tonight on the south downs (secret location) overlooking Brighton. This was taken earlier this afternoon in set-up - a chill-out zone, main stage and bar are the essential ingredients for a great night under the stars - rock on Spannerfest!

Brighton Dome
Nestling in the grounds of the Royal Pavillion is the Brighton Dome - now converted to an auditorium and theatre it used to be the stables for the Prince Regent when he was in residence in the Pavillion (a few years back now!)

sad day...
at Shoreham airshow, there was a fatality with a Hurricane pilot. God bless his family. Organisers chose to continue the air display out of respect for the pilot.
A deathly quiet came over the some 20,000 visitors to the show as the news filtered through. Apparently two of the Spitfire pilots flew in the formation to show that someone was "missing in action".
Other pics from the day can be found over at Brighton Daily Photo Extra

Off fishing?
Brighton Daily Photo is BACK! and a couple of days late to boot.
Thanks for your patience whilst I was away and today as I'm in London I've had to post a library shot (Booo!)
Looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and taking a photo a day in Brighton and its surrounds.
It's good to be back....
